Now that we are living in the age of Pinterest and Instagram, DIY is more popular than ever before. On our lunch breaks, we can scroll to our heart's content, finding the perfect quick-fix solutions to making our homes that little bit homier. And while this can work, most of us can attest to having a DIY mishap, reminding us that some things should be left to the professionals.
I mean, let's face it, some ideas on Pinterest only look good because of their lighting, and are otherwise not worth pursuing, even by the pros. Then there are others, which, unless you really know what you're doing, are going to leave you with something that looks like it was constructed by a child rather than fully-fledged adult attempting to adorn the home of their dreams.
