This Mom's Genius $20 Kmart Hack Will Stop Your Kids Ruining Your Couch

Children are messy eaters. It's a fact of life.

Sure, you can bribe them to keep what they're eating to one location, tell them that cutlery exists for a reason, but even the most well-behaved kid is going to have accidents now and then.

However, by investing just $20 in Kmart's Pet Quilted Couch Topper, you can at least parent in the knowledge that, if nothing else, you're never going to have to scrub your kids' dinner off your sofa again.

This genius hack was shared on Facebook by a mom named Leah, a food website revealed.

She wrote: "Pet beds - because I cannot handle any more drinks & food spilt on the couch!"

Prior to making this revelation, the couch topper had already been one of Kmart's hit products - let's face it, pet hair on sofas is an equally frustrating problem - and thanks to Lee, it's now even more popular.

"Omg. BEST. IDEA. EVER.!" wrote Facebook user.

Another remarked: "I am getting two. One for my kid and one for her Dad!"

"I'm getting one today!" declared a third.

Now, we don't know about you, but we're off to Kmart!
