These mermaid crafts are super easy to do and will impress your friends and family!
Mermaid Hair Clip Organiser

You will need:
- Foam board
- Patterned paper
- Gems
- Wool
- Scissors
Method:
- Cut out the silhouette of a mermaid, minus the hair.
- Decorate your mermaid with patterned card, colouring pencils, pens and gems.
- Cut long strips of wool for the mermaids hair and attach with a glue gun.
- Keep adding more and more hair till it is long and luscious.
- Attach a small loop of wool or thread to the top of her hair and hang on the wall.
- Now you can attach your bows to her hair and she will be fabulous and practical!
Mermaid Jar

You will need:
- Clear cookie jar
- Paper and scissors
- PVA Glue
- Blue tissue paper
- Sea themed ornaments
- Small light
Method:
- Cover the jar in glue and apply layers of tissue paper, not too thick, you want the light to shine through it in the end.
- Leave the jar to dry and in the mean time cut out a silhouette of a mermaid in black paper.
- Once the jar is dry stick the mermaid inside the jar on the front.
- Put some decorations inside like sand, treasures, rocks etc. Then put a bright light inside angled at the mermaid.
- Pop the lid back on the jar and you now have a beautiful night light!
TOP TIP- You can also add some brown twine around the lid to fancy it up!
Sea Creature Hooks

You will need:
- Plastic toys
- Spray paint
- Glue strips to attach to a wall.
Method:
- Put down a protective surface for spraying and spray paint your sea creature toys all over, you may need to let one side dry before flipping over.
- Once they are dry, attach them to a wall with screws or command strips.
- Now you have cute themed coat hooks for all to admire!
Mermaid Memo Board

You will need:
- Card
- Wadding
- Fabric
- Glue gun
- Ribbon
Method:
- Cut out a silhouette of a mermaid tail in cardboard.
- Glue on a layer of wadding which is the same shape.
- Lay this over a piece of themed fabric and cut around the shape leaving an inch gap.
- Cut slits in the fabric around the shape.
- Glue the strips onto the back of the cardboard shape with the wadding between the cardboard and the fabric.
- Place strips of ribbon over the front of the base part of the tail in a crosshatch pattern, stick the ends of the ribbon on the back, making sure the ribbon is taught.
- Stick some cool mermaidy pattern over the tail part and you have good to go!
- Now you have a cute mermaid memo board to pop special notes and mementos in between the ribbon.
Toy Hammock

You will need:
- Rope netting
- Hooks
- Shells
- String
Method:
- Group one end of the netting together and and tie string around it, leave a loop of string for hanging.
- Then do this on the other end.
- Attach two hooks to the wall, leaving enough space between them to hang the toy hammock.
- Hang up your hammock and you can also decorate with shells.
- Now you can add all your cute soft toys, in the perfect toy storage!
