It's of the utmost importance that kids get a lot of exercise. They have bundles of energy, and an active childhood is a key to preparing them for a healthy and happy adulthood. That's why so many parents invest in toys like swings, slides, and trampolines for their backyards - they're fun, and, more importantly, encourage their kids to be active.
However, like everything in childhood, these toys have a limited lifespan, and once your little angels are more interested in going to the cinema and bowling alley with their friends, you know that the time has come to get rid of them. Luckily, for parents of trampoline owning kids, or, y'know, people who have an exercise trampoline that's seen better days, there's an easy DIY that you can use to upcycle your unwanted trampoline into a comfortable and stylish bed swing.

The first step to making one, as demonstrated on the Hallmark Channel, is covering the outside of the trampoline with pool noodles, which can be obtained inexpensively from various locations. Obviously, the number of pool noodles required for step one of this upcycling DIY will depend on the size of your trampoline.

After this, you will need to cover the pool noodle in glue, as demonstrated above with a spray-on, so that you can cover it in a piece of fabric.

The next step in creating your trampoline swing involves, well, the swing part. Once you've suitably decorated the outer layer, attach a strong rope of your choice by carefully wrapping it around the rim to ensure it will support your weight.

It's at this point that you can finally hang up your swing!
Obviously, the location will vary for everyone, but you might want to take this as an opportunity to see how much weight it can safely support so there's no risk of anyone's bum abruptly hitting the ground!

Once you've done this, decorate your swing to suit your taste/existing garden decor.

Oh, and in case you're wondering, this is what a trampoline swing looks like when it's made with a larger trampoline.

In short, it's a hanging tipi, and, as I'm sure you'll agree, with an outer cover over the ropes, makes the perfect spot to have an outdoor sleepover (weather permitting). Can you imagine roasting marshmallows then retreating to this bed? Bliss.

Now, I don't know about you, but this has made me want to buy a trampoline just so that I can turn it into a swinging bed!
