Moms Are Going Wild For This $5 Kmart Camping Food Hack

Now that the weather is slowly but surely heating up, many families are taking to the great outdoors. After all, it's usually free, and Mother Nature gives children everything that they need to exercise their imaginations.

That's why camping is so popular. If you're anything like me, some of your best childhood memories will center around your parents telling you ghost stories by a fire, s'mores in hand.

And on the subject of camping and food, as every parent knows, things can and do go wrong - especially on the first night. Setting up a BBQ and a campfire takes time, and when you've got a tent to construct, you can often be left with some seriously 'hangry' children.

But that doesn't have to be the case with this mom's genius $5 Kmart hack...

Taking to Facebook, Jurinah, a member of the group Kmart Hacks & Decor, explained that she purchased the 12 Compartment Organiser, designed for fishing tackle and other miscellaneous items, and used it to store camping snacks instead.

She wrote: "Thank you Kmart $5 organizer for our first night of camping, no stress dinner. I have a tear and share from Bakers Delight plus dips and falafels."

Needless to say, this clever hack meant that Jurinah's children were happy and full, and she didn't have the added pressure of having to construct a tent, campfire, and rustle up some food at the same time too!

Other parents in the group were in agreement that it was a brilliant hack, which can be found in the hardware section of Kmart.

"What an awesome idea!" wrote one parent.

Another added: "This is a great idea! I'll be doing this."

Whereas a third wrote: "Omg I've been searching for the ultimate lunch box with dividers & this is everything and more!"

So, if you're planning on taking your children into the great outdoors this summer, you might want to invest $5 in this organizer because no one wants to be stressed out on the first night of their vacation!
