Mom Hilariously Documents Son's First Year Of Life With Pizza Slices

The first year of your baby's life is an incredibly special time for a number of reasons. Arguably the greatest, however, is the getting a chance to watch them grow from a little bundle of joy into a fully fledged child who's well on their way to entering their terrible twos. That's why so many parents go out of their way to document this special time before its over.

One mom, however, has come up with a novel way of marking her baby's early milestones - with pizza slices! It's something that any foodie can relate to. Baby Lorenzo, pictured below, made his entrance into the world on February 10 last year, and since then, his photographer mom, Dani Giannandrea, has taken pictures of him next to pizza slices ever month.

It's just a shame that he's too small to sample the delight that is pepperoni pizza.

2. Two months old and now he's got a swish side parting

I reckon Lorenzo is going to grow up to be a real gentleman!

3. Three months old and his smile has grown even wider.

He's getting the hang of posing for his mom now.

Yeah, you rock that pizza box pose, little guy!

According to Romper, Lorenzo's mom got the idea for marking the first year of his life with pizza slices because of his grandma. She suggested that it would be the perfect nod to his Italian name and we have to agree. It's genius!

But in his defense, he was officially a year and a half away from officially hitting his terrible twos.

Lorenzo looks like he's posing like Buzz Lightyear. To infinity and beyond!

"Look at how big I'm getting - almost bigger than this pizza box!"

No judgments here. It looks delicious.

Maybe it's because Lorenzo is finally old enough to have a little pizza!

Isn't it amazing how a baby's hair color - and just about everything else - can change so much during their first year?

Have Dani's pictures of Lorenzo inspired you to get creative documenting your children get older? Even if they're no longer in baby grows, we are sure that you'll agree that pictures like these will make great keepsakes for years to come.
