Cute Pipe Cleaner Crafts!

These cute pipe cleaner crafts are super easy and fun to make with the kids! Make a whole menagerie out of pipe cleaners; the zoo is your oyster!

Jellyfish

You will need:

Method:

Cut a polystyrene ball in half using a scalpel (grown ups only!).
Using one half, paint it pink (or whatever colour you like!)
Twist a pipe cleaner around a pencil and then remove it from the pencil. Repeat this with other colours.
Glue them to the bottom of the half-circle.
Add eyes!

Beaded Snake

You will need:

Method:

Begin by threading 1 bead onto the end of a pipe cleaner, folding it over and twisting to create the tail.
Continuing threading more beads on, covering most of the pipe cleaner. Leave a section big enough for the snake’s head.
Roll that section in on itself to create the head (glue to secure if necessary).
Cut off a small piece of red pipe cleaner and glue to the head. Now the snake has its tongue!
Add the googly eyes!
For that finishing touch, you can now shape the beaded pipe cleaner into a winding snake!

Flamingo

You will need:

Method:

Start rolling one end of the pipe cleaner in on itself, around ¼ of the way. This creates the head.
Now roll the other end in the opposite direction so that it meets the other ¼ (this creates the body).
Cut off a small piece of black pipe cleaner and glue into the head.
To add the legs, thread another piece of pink pipe cleaner through the bigger circle and shape.
Add a large googly eye!
Cut a small piece off a pink feather and attach to the flamingo’s body.

Bumblebees

You will need:

Method:

Start by wrapping one yellow and one black pipe cleaner around your finger.
Cut off some of the yellow pipe cleaner.
Use the rest of the black pipe cleaner to create the head.
Using a small piece of white card, fold it over and cut into the fold, creating a wing shape.
Cut the wing shape out and then stick onto the body of the bee.
Add eyes!
