These People Have No Qualms About Showing Off Their Unconventional Features To The World

We all have insecurities about certain parts of our body - it's human nature. But often these insecurities tend to based on pretty standard "flaws" such as our weight or features that are perhaps bigger or smaller than what's considered normal.

Some people, however, have traits and characteristics that massively set them apart from the average person on the street. This can do either one of two things to their confidence: it can make them feel overly self-conscious and perhaps even ashamed or, on the other hand, it can make them feel proud to be different - a view encouraged by the body positivity movement.

So, without further ado, here are 13 people who've have learned to love what makes them different and are happy to show off their "flaws" to the world...

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is a connective tissue disorder that affects joints and skin. Sara has definitely embraced the condition by sharing Instagram pics exposing the parts of her skin that are most affected by it.

The model and student has always let her eyebrows grow naturally. She isn't concerned about what people think about her saying, "I personally think my face looks better this way. Others disagree, and that's totally cool."

Since losing her leg, Lauren has become intent on spreading the word about the illness.

These people are all incredibly inspirational. In spite of their unconventional features, they have learned to love themselves for what they are. It's a lesson we could all benefit from learning. After all, the world would be a pretty boring place to live in if we were all carbon copies of each other!
