There's A Disney Toy Story Plane And It's Truly Magical

For years, Disneyland has been known as the Happiest Place on Earth. Regardless of whether you are young or old, it's a magical land where, for a hefty admissions fee, you can enjoy the simpler things in life: riding thrilling roller coasters and hanging out with some of Walt's beloved characters (Mikey Mouse 'til I die). For many, it is, quite simply, what dreams are made of.

I'll never forget visiting Disney's California Adventure for the first time. When I saw Mickey's head behind the gigantic loop the loop rollercoaster, I knew I was in a seven-year-old's version of Heaven. My parents were just as excited, and my Dad coaxed me - his little thrillseeker - onto rides that put my Mom's heart in her mouth while she and my little sister went on a hunt for Cruella De Vil.

There are six Disney resorts in the world, and as a result, for some hardcore fans, visiting all of them is actually one of their bucket list items. And while most of us don't get into the swing of things until we're in the parks themselves, for visitors for Disneyland Shanghai, that doesn't have to be the case anymore, thanks to this Toy Story-themed plane.

On the off chance that your memory needs refreshing, the beloved Toy Story movies were first released by the Pixar franchise in 1995 and center around a boy named Andy's beloved toys, which come to life when he's not around.

Since then, there have been a further two movies in the franchise, with a fourth set to be released this summer, and in a bid to led everyone to relive the magic of the movies, everything about the plane - and indeed the check-in service - is Toy Story themed.

As the picture below demonstrates, the cabin's roof is adorned with pictures of Toy Story characters - characters who, if we're completely honest, taught a generation of adults and kids alike about the true meaning of loyalty.

The luggage compartments and the ceiling are also painted like the iconic sky wallpaper, and feature even more characters from the movies, ensuring that there's a minimal risk of your kids getting bored on this truly magical flight.

The seats and the tray tables are also adorned with characters and incredibly, even the onboard menu is Toy Story themed - from the food to the cutlery. That being said, the jury's out on whether it's any better than standard plane food.

Oh, and if that wasn't enough, the headphones and other inflight accessories are themed too. To be honest, the only thing in the plane which sounds like it's free of Toy Story characters is the bathroom!

The plane took it's maiden voyage from Beijing to Shanghai, straight to the Shanghai Disney Resort, in April 2018.

Haven't seen the trailer for Toy Story 4 yet? Well, what are you waiting for?! Here it is:

Tim Allen, AKA the voice of Buzz Lightyear, describes the new movie as "deep and moving" with "a wonderful plot".

Toy Story 4 is set to be released on 21 June, but that begs the question: will it also be played on the Toy Story plane? We can only live in hope. I'm all for going big or going home, and the makers of this plane certainly went all out to make it magical!
