This Little Girl Picked 'The Nun' As Her Birthday Theme And The Photos Are Everything

When kids throw birthday parties, you expect to them to have themes like animals, princesses and superheroes. However, one little girl decided to pick something totally outside of the box. For Lucia's third birthday party, she picked 2018 supernatural horror film The Nun as her theme. (So much cooler than Frozen!)

Lucia's cousin, Andrea, shared photos of the event on Twitter, writing, "So it was my cousins 3rd birthday and instead of having a normal theme she chose this." In the images, we see Lucia and a friend in costume, an adorably grotesque model, and a Demon Nun cake with 'Lucia' written in blood red frosting. Perfect!

In case you're unfamiliar, The Nun is a prequel to The Conjuring 2, and the fifth film of the burgeoning Conjuring franchise. Reportedly Lucia saw the movie at her grandmother's house and insisted on watching it to the end. Then, when her birthday came around, she repeatedly told her mom she wanted a Nun-themed party. Fortunately for Lucia, and the internet, Mom said yes.

Andrea's tweet went viral, getting more than 560,000 likes and several positive responses. "I fully support whatever decision this child makes for the rest of their life," stated @ceenavangsta. "omg hahaha I love this!" wrote @ biebzxjonas, while sharing photos from her 6-year-old brother's Child's Play-themed party. Meanwhile, @victorhvgo created an eerie gothic painting of Lucia's party as a memento.

And yeah, some Debbie Downers pointed out that The Nun is rated R and speculated on how healthy it is for children to choose fictional murderers as birthday themes. Thanks for the input, buzzkills! What's your birthday theme going to be - judges? Because you like judging people? Gonna dress up like Judge Judy? Jude Ruth Bader Ginsberg? Judge Dredd? I'm pretty sure he killed some people! Think about that.
