Mom Transforms A Pile Of Plain Cardboard Boxes Into This Insane DIY Play Kitchen
It's a pretty well-known fact that children have vivid imaginations. And while this can lead to them telling blatantly fabricated lies about who really ate all the cookies, it is generally a very positive thing. In fact, parents are often told to encourage their children's sense of creativity with the hope that it will benefit them later on in life.
Think about the opportunities they could have when they're grown if they have always believed the world is their oyster. That's why a lot of kid's toys revolve around everyday devices and gadgets that their parents use. It's everything from toddler-sized cars to play kitchens.
But have you ever heard of a play kitchen made out of cardboard?
Well, one exceptionally talented mother made just that for her one-year-old.
Rodessa Villanueva-Reyes' daughter absolutely adores make-believe cooking in her kitchen at home, so her mother decided to make the ambitious toddler her very own DIY kitchen out of some old cardboard boxes.
The end result was absolutely phenomenal!
The child-friendly kitchen started attracting a lot of attention when Villanueva posted before-and-after photos of the project on her Facebook page. It very rapidly gained over 100k likes and over 100 comments from fascinated DIY enthusiasts.
"I didn’t expect my DIY cardboard box kitchen to go this far. I made it for my Audrey all because I wanted to make her happy," Villanueva wrote in a later post to Facebook.
The doting mother started the project by asking her friends for any old cardboard boxes they had laying around. When she had collected enough of them, she and her husband set up the boxes so that they resembled the shape of their own kitchen.
They cut the boxes to create cupboards and even a mini oven. The boxes were then covered in vinyl stickers in order to add to their appeal. Villanueva also painted the boxes and added customised signs.
I think we can all agree that a lot of hard work was put into this DIY kitchen - and it shows! And we hope Audrey absolutely loves playing in it!
